As Ironmark has grown over the last year with the partnership of Post Capital Investments and recent acquisition of Millennium Marketing Solutions, so has our financial department. We are excited to welcome Robert Sharkey to our executive team as our Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Sharkey was brought in to lead and support the finance team through Ironmark's exponential and continuing growth. He will be part of the executive team and his day-to-day duties will be spearheading the high-level finance restructuring of Ironmark. This will be in an effort to help deliver a multitude of services and reporting to the Ironmark executive team and customers.

Who Is Robert Sharkey?

Robert Sharkey, known by many as “Sharkey,” has 25 years experience in finance with a long-term background in financial planning and analysis, operational infrastructure, and mergers and acquisitions. Sharkey has a proven track record of building high-performance finance teams to improve processes and drive overall operational efficiencies. His addition to the executive team will help drive growth both organically and through M&A and will position Ironmark for sustainable, long term value creation. He is a seasoned professional that has had a relationship with Ironmark and its leaders for many years. President of Ironmark, Matt Marzullo, shares his certainty in Robert Sharkey’s ability to take this role to new heights. “I am confident that Sharkey will excel in his new position and be an integral part in taking Ironmark to the next level.”

One of Sharkey’s long held beliefs is that finance is more about customer service than it is about the numbers. He focuses on the internal success of the company, helping the organization grow and helping the clients’ businesses grow. 

When he's not running the numbers at Ironmark, Sharkey can be found coaching his kids' sports teams on the weekends, rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, or traveling with his family.

When asked what he’s most excited about regarding joining the Ironmark team, Robert Sharkey says, “Being able to be part of an established culture, and to come in and give a little bit more of my background of process structure, but also in a fun way.” Sharkey explains, “I want my team and the people around me to thrive, enjoy what they're doing, attain our goals, and have a well balanced life."

Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University.
