which online marketing tool do you swear by and why?

If I had to pick one tool, it would definitely be HubSpot. HubSpot is the one tool for engaged marketers to really get a sense of what’s going on with their website visitors, how many leads they’re generating, what kind of sales – it has a built-in CRM tool. You can see lots of analytics and connect to your social media channels. So, for like an all-in-one platform, I live and swear by HubSpot. 

What's one piece of advice you can give to a recent graduate just starting out in a marketing role?

Be passionate and excited to learn. There are so many different things to learn when it comes to digital marketing, and even while you’re in a role, everything’s changing. I can’t sneeze without Google changing their algorithm or Facebook having another update. You constantly have to keep your finger on the pulse. So be curious, be ready to learn, and train yourself.

What is your favorite social media platform and why?

It’s got to be Facebook. Facebook reaches everywhere, the targeting is the best ad targeting you can possibly get. You can nail people down to what shoe color they prefer. So, Facebook.

Why do you love marketing?

I love marketing because, for so many reasons, but one of my favorite things is when I come to my desk in the morning I get to see results. So, we put marketing campaigns out there -  digital marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, content marketing, and I get to my desk in the morning and I see how everything did. So it’s that instant gratification of really being able to test ROI.
